What you’ll do

But since the secret’s out, where can you still find authentic, local ruin pubs which embody the alternative, non-conformist spirit of the original ruin bars? You’ll find out as you explore the Jewish Quarter with one of our local Budapest hosts, weaving your way through the secret spots of this artsy, bohemian area.

Here's the game-changer - rather than a night out in the town, you will soak up the eclectic culture of this enclave by experiencing its vibrant ruin bar culture by day.

Your host will lead you through back-alleyways to drink craft lagers in microbreweries run by “Gypsy brewers”, explore a unique gallery space with squat-like basements, and browse the best vintage shops and markets, cutting edge fashion stores, independent niche boutiques, pop-ups, vinyl record shops, and the tastiest street food markets.

Bouncing your way from a subterranean pub to more cafe-style bars, your host will show you that the real ruin bar culture is still alive and kicking at all hours of the day.

    This experience gave me and my boyfriend the opportunity to see thing in Budapest we could not have found on our own. There is loads of art, music, theatre and a whole boheme scene still alive that we were totally unaware of and we found incredibly!     Malin was very professional and showed us different kind of food and places where the locals eat in Hong Kong. We also got to experience traveling in the subway and star ferry.
