Hi, my name is Mariela and I’m 20 years old. I've been living in Athens for a year but I was born in Greece and have visited Athens periodically throughout my life. I love Greece because of the history of the city and of course, having fun there. There are a lot of things I love about Athens. First of all, there are many places you can entertain yourself, from clubs and bars to calm "tavernas'' to the seaside. Taverna is called the greek traditional restaurants and some of them have live Greek music so you can enjoy while you are tasting the greek traditional cuisine. The best part about Athens is that combines both mountains and the seaside. In the winter you can enjoy your hot tea at "The Naxos Apothecary" which is located near Syntagma in the heart of the city and in the summer you should have a walk at "Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center" is located in Kallithea where you can see the whole city. In my opinion, the best time to visit Athens is spring or autumn. That's because the weather is warm but not hot as the summer when you can be sunburned. So if you are not a lover of really hot weather you should think about the time you want to visit it. In the summer though everyone is out and having fun even on the weekdays. Here in Athens, you have both the spirit of being in a big city in Europe and being in a small city where everything goes slowly. This city can make you feel calm and also feel like having fun. I can't imagine a more beautiful city than this.
