Kickstart your trip to Hamburg

Really enjoyed the ability to choose the length of the tour. We opted for 3hrs and this was perfect. Deniz was our guide and he really showed adaptation to our group and what we found interesting. As a group of 5 it was all our first time in Hambourg and arrived by cruise so unfortunately had limited hours to spend. Never felt rushed or too slow. We we passed and went into places we would never have done trying to self guide. Deniz was friendly, knowledgeable and is an asset to the city of Hamburg. Very glad we booked and was definitely worth the extra money going for a private tour over a shared group.

If there was a way to score Tim more than 10 out of 10, then we would! Tim was knowledgeable, engaging and really tailored the tour to us. We came away feeling like we knew Hamburg better than we could possibly have done without a guide. Tim’s communication beforehand was exceptional, sending us a picture of where to meet, along with directions and letting us know how to recognise him. The tour was specific to us (genuinely ‘unscripted ‘ which is what we wanted) and kept 2 adults and 2 older children entertained for three hours. I only wish that we had booked for longer. We saw lots of different landmarks, places that we would not otherwise have known about. We loved the old Elbe tunnel and the Plaza at the Elbphilharmonie, but other smaller details that we would have missed if we had visited under our own steam. We will never visit a new city again without a guide. Tim has set the benchmark for all future hosts: genuinely brilliant.

Dave made sure the trip was perfectly crafted for me down to small details and made sure I enjoyed myself The tour was fun because Dave told his personal stories of a fellow military guy seeing the town with personal stories made it more fun.
