Day trip to the fairytale town of Lübeck

Lovely city! Host helped up understand the history and the life in Lubeck. I love that it was personalized and that I was welcome to ask for a break from time to time

We had the best day exploring Lubeck! Deniz met us in Hamburg and took us to the train station where we boarded the train to Lubeck. He already had our tickets purchased, guided us through the busy platform, and the day began smoothly. The rest of the day was just as easy! He showed us Lubeck’s highlights and some hidden surprises. We ate at a delicious restaurant for lunch and ended the day making the train back to Hamburg without a hitch. He took the stress out of our day and added so much historical knowledge. Highly recommend!

The two of us LOVED our tour of Lubeck! Our guide, Deniz, was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate of our preferences. This is especially important when you are booked on a 7-hour tour experience. We were especially glad to have Deniz pick us up at our Hamburg hotel and escort us on the train ride to Lubeck (and back). We saw the major sights on our list, as well as delightful hidden places in Lubeck known to Deniz. A relaxing lunch at a former actual guildhall (Schiffergesellschaft- don't ask me to pronounce it!) was a historic sight in itself with some ships hanging from the ceiling and some good pub food & drinks. We highly recommend this tour.

Deniz was a great guide and this was a perfect day trip from Hamburg. The architecture, history, and pace of the town were a nice contrast to Hamburg.

Deniz was an excellent tour guide tailoring the day to my desires. The pace was to my liking and not rushed. Deniz explained the history and significance of Lubeck and its sites in detail without boring me which I found refreshing. We took a wonderful break at a very popular marzipan café and enjoyed a most delicious piece of cake. The 360 degree view of Lubeck from the St Petri tower with a fantastic view of St Marien's and the town hall was an unexpected surprise. Approaching the Holsten Gate provides a stunning start to the walking tour. The transfers by train, tram and bus went smooth without issue and the tour length was as stated and perfect for a day trip. Overall it was a very enjoyable day and experience. Deniz did a great job!

Deniz showed up on time at the hotel and we started our wonderful journey to Lubeck at my pace and in no hurry. The transfer by train was an an enjoyable experience both there and back to Hamburg. Deniz asked questions of what I was interested in seeing and doing and tailored the day to my interests. He shared his knowledge of Lubeck during our walking tour and we took a very nice break to eat some cake at a very famous marzipan café which was excellent. For an older guy with arthritis in both knees I found the tour itself was perfect. Deniz was did an outstanding job taking me around the city for which I was very grateful.
