We spent a very enjoyable few hours with Max in Bordeaux. He was charming, polite and set an ideal pace for bunch of old geezers. The walk around the old part of town was relaxed and more like meeting up with an old friend than a tour guide. Two reasons for this; we learned more about Max than we did of Bordeax and Max didn't really know many historical facts about the places he took us to. He often knew the basics but not extra facts. "I don't know" was a frequent answer. But somehow, it didn't matter. He showed us some nice places, tailored the route to our interests and pointed out a nice place for lunch. Good luck learning more rhyming slander, my old mucker. More facts...five stars.

I had a private tour with Eillin and she was absolutely wonderful. When we met, Eillin asked me what my interests were and gauged how much I knew about Lyon. I am a big foodie and not the biggest history buff, and Eillin tailored my entire tour around what I was interested in.
