The perfect way to become acquainted with this blossoming City of Eternal Spring.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Become an honorary Paisa thanks to a crash course on all things Medellín in the heart of the city teeming with history, like at the towering Metropolitan Cathedral opened in 1931 or on the cultural San Antonio Plaza lined with inspiring art and restaurants to try later (your host will point out the best ones for traditional Mondongo Soup!). Snap a pic with one of the many thought-provoking sculptures in Botero Plaza, before darting away to Casa de la Memoria for a look into Colombia's turbulent past. Discover why Medellín is the City of Eternal Spring at a bustling yellow flower market or at the forest-like butterfly haven, the Botanical Gardens. Snacky? Your host knows just the stop for a bite of delicious empanadas to try after your adventure.

Show moreFor this private walking tour in Medellin, I had to fill out a questionnaire prior to the activity, and based on our answers, our guide Julian customized the tour catering to our preferences, focusing more on art and culture. As we had hoped for, it was a good mix of some city highlights and some local spots. This being a private tour, there were a couple of pros: - Our guide offered to take photos of us at all prominent locations, and also suggested some very local photo op backgrounds. - We were late to arrive due to transport delays but he was kind enough to wait for us.
