Hi, I’m Jana

Hi, I’m Jana, and I love sharing the charm and creativity of Ghent with curious visitors. I’m inspired by the city’s rivers that weave through its streets, adding to its unique character, and I enjoy cycling around to discover its hidden corners. I’m a big fan of the annual Film Fest Ghent and love introducing friends and visitors to both the highlights and the quirky, off-the-beaten-path spots that don’t appear in guidebooks. I know the historical center and the hip, slightly alternative Dok Noord area inside out, and I enjoy showing the fun customs, local quirks, and little surprises that make Ghent feel alive. With me, you’ll see the city through the eyes of someone who truly loves it.

Hi, I’m Emily

Ghent

What I love most about this city is how there’s always something beautiful to discover around every corner — from hidden courtyards to charming canals and cosy bars that instantly make you feel at home. You’ll often find me browsing through thrift stores or enjoying a drink at one of the city’s live music spots. I know Ghent’s historical center and student neighborhoods inside out and love sharing fun stories from the city’s past. Whether you’re after local markets, vintage gems, or the best spots for a night out, I’ll make sure your time in Ghent feels like exploring with a friend who truly loves this place!

Hi, I’m Sara

Ghent

I’m the kind of person who believes the best way to get to know Ghent is on foot—with plenty of stops for coffee and "just one more photo." You'll usually find me wandering around Graslei, Korenlei, Patershol, or Korenmarkt, happily getting distracted by charming little streets and hidden corners. St. Michael’s Bridge is my favorite spot—the view of Ghent’s medieval skyline never gets old, no matter how many times I cross it. I also love Gravensteen, because every city deserves a castle, right? Ask me about scenic canals, cozy cafés, local history, or where to escape the crowds, and I’ll happily point you in the right direction. Fair warning: our walk may include a few detours, but they’re usually the best part!
