What you’ll do

Keen on a waffle from the backstreets of Brussels? We promise it’s not as dodgy as it sounds.

You’ll join one of our food-crazy local Brussels hosts who can’t wait to take you on a culinary journey of their city that’ll have you sampling all things authentically Belgian like a Flemish stew cooked in Belgian beer, delightful chocolate, and fluffy waffles and fries.

No - not French fries, but Belgian frites. (Word to the wise - never, ever, under any circumstances, mention French fries). You’ll be able to tell the difference after a bite or two.

With just 3 hours for your own all-you-can-eat, it’s up to you and your host whether you sample from local family-owned brasseries, ambient taverns, artisanal chocolate shops, or hole-in-the-wall restaurants that serve real Belgian food with a passion.

Or all of them! And, of course, you’ll pick up some street food along the way, too, since it would be a crime to miss out on Belgian waffles while you’re in town.

Experience outline

  • Join your food-fanatic friend (aka one of our Belgian hosts) on a 3-hour journey through the culinary delights of Brussels
  • Sample from an array of charming cafes, taverns or sit down for an authentic traditional meal- the choice is yours
  • Your experience, your pace! You can choose to try all you can or perch at a single cafe to sample their offerings- we suggest waffles followed by Belgian frites (you’re on holiday, you can have dessert first)
  • Learn some Belgian cooking techniques and speak to your host about other food surprises you might enjoy

    Bruno was our guide for a private tour for my family of 5 including my 6 y/o daughter and he was amazing!!! he contacted me several days prior to tour to ask about our food likes/dislikes which was great since several members do not like seafood, then customized the stops accordingly…… we had so many delicious authentic Belgium foods and beers, even my daughter loved it!!!! He was so knowledgeable as we walked, we learned so much about history of Brussels. Would definitely recommend this tour highly!!!
