Hi, I’m Leo

Hi, I’m Leonie! I’m always excited to share the Vienna I know and love, a city where grand history, incredible art, and everyday life come together in the most fascinating ways. As an art historian, I could happily spend hours exploring museums, admiring architecture, and uncovering the stories behind Vienna’s masterpieces. I’m just as passionate about the human side of history, from quirky traditions and forbidden romances to the lives of ordinary Viennese. When I’m not wandering the First District, Hietzing, Ottakring, Döbling, or Liesing, I’m hunting down a great café or a traditional restaurant serving delicious vegetarian takes on Viennese classics. Whether we’re strolling hidden streets, chatting over coffee, or discovering the city's creative spirit, I’d love to help you experience Vienna like a local.

What My Guests Think of Me

Great advice on places to eat and visit in the time we had. Very pleasant and also did think about our needs and flex the plans as we went along. Amazing ambassador for Austria.

What I love most about Vienna is its living history - walking through the city feels like stepping into a storybook, from baroque palaces and hidden courtyards to streets that whisper centuries of tales. I’m inspired by the music that fills the air, from Mozart and Beethoven to Strauss, and the café culture where tradition and conversation blend perfectly. I love losing myself in the Kunsthistorisches Museum or experiencing concerts at the Musikverein. I know neighborhoods like the First District and Cottageviertel very well, and I strive to bring Vienna’s art, palaces, churches, and history to life through engaging stories that are as entertaining as they are enlightening.

Vienna lets you walk through centuries in a single afternoon, from Roman ruins beneath the streets to grand baroque palaces. Every layer raises the same question: how did people shape this city, and how did the city shape them? I’m fascinated by politics, by how society drives history, and by how democracy has developed, with all its progress and its setbacks. Vienna is the perfect place to explore this. Decisions made in this one city repeatedly changed Austria and Europe, and I love showing how regional stories became national history, and national history became European history. That story includes voices that are often left out. I’m one of the few hosts who can show you Vienna’s rich queer heritage, from the architects of the State Opera to queer Habsburgs such as Isabella of Parma. And of course, Vienna is also about savouring life: a long coffee in a traditional café, a sunset at a Heuriger in Grinzing. I know the Inner City inside out, with its hidden courtyards, lively neighbourhoods and the stories behind Imperial history, architecture and coffee culture. My academic background means I can answer your “but why?” questions. My guiding experience means I’ll keep it lively, personal and never lecture-hall dry. Tell me what you’re curious about, and we’ll shape the day around you.

A conversation, not a lecture: I plan ahead but follow your curiosity. Expect stories instead of dates, Viennese humour and the “why” behind what you see, with time for a good coffee

Vienna is elegant, safe, slightly morbid, wonderfully grand, and full of creative characters organizing quirky events and making fantastic art. My mission is to rescue visitors from overcrowded hotspots and introduce them to the hidden corners where locals actually spend their time. I know the historic center, as well as the 2nd, 5th, 8th, 9th, and 15th districts like an old friend. As an experienced food and wine guide, I can introduce you to market stalls worth returning to and winegrowers who might even open their cellar doors. I regularly work at Vienna’s most famous outdoor market, so I know where the real treasures are hiding. Expect good stories, great flavors, and at least one place that makes you wonder why it isn’t in every guidebook.

As an archaeologist, I combine urban history with the iconography of the Habsburgs to reveal the stories hidden behind Vienna’s elegant façades. I love strolling through the City Center, Prater, Stuwerviertel, and Spittelberg, uncovering layers of the past beneath the vibrant present. Whether we’re exploring ornate architecture or sharing a hearty Viennese meal of gulasch, schnitzel, and pastries in a traditional coffee house, my goal is to help you experience Vienna’s charm through local eyes and leave with unforgettable stories.

Hi, I’m Felix

Vienna

Growing up in medieval Clam Castle sparked my passion for Austria’s rich history and art, and I loved leading guests through the castle museum. After studying business in Vienna and Edinburgh and working in the paper industry, I turned my hobby into a career, organizing and guiding music and cultural tours across Europe. During the pandemic, I became a certified Austria guide, and now I enjoy sharing Vienna’s grandeur and local charm with visitors. I know neighborhoods like Leopoldstadt and Naschmarkt very well and love helping guests explore the city’s music, history, and art in ways that are engaging, memorable, and fun.
