Uncovering areas of the city that we didn’t know about or that it even existed
Where do I begin? Learning about the architecture and history surrounding it, we learned about the Dutch language and culture (brass blocks in the sidewalks honoring Jews killed during Holocaust, plaque above doors as symbols of craftsmanship within), saw 2 last wooden buildings, smallest house, public housing courtyard, Dam square and hidden church
Plus a quick walk through of Red Light district which wasn’t on our list but glad we touched on it
Oh wait…almost forgot the Markets!!!!
