Hi, my name is Carlos. I am a transplant from the Czech. I moved to the city four and a half years ago and since then there's not have been a day in which I'm not amazed at its wonderful architecture, streets, galleries, churches... I always try to take walks on the streets I don't know and always realize how much more there is to know about this wonderful city. it has been an endless, wonderful journey living in this city. As a tourist, you can enjoy the classic spots, such as the Concorde, the Tuileries garden, the Eiffel tower, and maybe a cruise at the seine... and while I also find these attractions fascinating and beautiful I've found so many other interesting destinations, not so frequented by tourists, like the woods of Vincennes which, in my opinion, is one of the greenest areas of the city, a pleasing route that leads to a forest perfect for hiking, cycling or just having a simple picnic with your friends, I've done so many walks in that forest, so many gatherings with friends and family, it's a must-see destination if you really like the outdoors, and speaking of outdoors I should also mention one of my other favorite green spot, the Sceaux parc, and while it's true that it is not technically in the city, it's just twenty minutes away form the heart of the city by train. the Sceaux parc offers an exquisite alternative for a parc, it's a fantastic garden in which it is very easy to delight in its cherry forest. and finally to wrap up the whole green areas I have to talk about the Villette, a very unique and special parc, located at the very edge of the city limits in the 19th district of Paris, this parc is surrounded by so much culture and interesting institutions, like La cité des sciences et de l'industrie, the Paris philharmonic, the National Conservatory of Music and the Grande Halle de la Villette museum. this park is filled with young restaurants and bars, it's not a very common place for tourists but those that pass by or hear about it and take a look are amazed by it. I enjoy passing my days at these parks and forests but la Villette holds a very special place in my heart for I have not only brought many friends but, I've made a lot of them here.
