I'm Tala from Iran and I've been living as a student in Kyoto for 5 years. I am a freelance photographer that specializes in portraits. The biggest reason to choose Kyoto among other cities was simple, the deep cultural and historical ties between modern and ancient Kyoto. My favorite thing to do is to take photos of beautiful kimonos while walking around the Kiyomizu district and enjoying seasonal sweets such as Yatsu-Hashi and ending it with a sunset over the Yasaka Pagoda. My luckiest moment has been when I could catch a glimpse of a maiko crossing the street! "I've been exploring Kyoto for photographic and historic spots.
