Hi, my name is Yu, I was born in Japan but have experience living abroad. After working as a city guide for French tourists in Kyoto, I moved to Paris to study Tourism development at Sorbonne University. After graduating, I then worked at a french tourism agency specializing in wine tourism. I am enthusiastic about discovering new places and hidden gems in my city. Also, I'm a big foodie. Since I love to travel, discover new things, and meet new people, it will be my pleasure to share my culture!

Yu arrived on time even though I made a last minute change to the meeting point. Yu was knowledgeable about the places we visited and gave interesting historical information. She was friendly and professional and very easy to tall to. I highly recommend her.

My partner and I had the absolute best day with Yu! She was just so personable and knowledgeable of the area and answered all our questions, as we had a lot of them lol. By the end of the tour I felt like we were besties! If you are taking this tour I recommend doing a little bit of research ahead of time so you can let your tour guide know what you are interested in. It helps both you and the guide make sure everyone has a great experience and manages expectations! Thanks again Yu, Kyoto became one of my favorite stops of the trip thanks to you!

We have travelled the world and we always book a guided tour to start our holidays. Our trip to Japan was incredible and much of it has to do with the amazing start we got on a fantastic tour of Kyoto with Yu. Such a lovely person who was extremely knowledgeable, incredibly professional and wonderfully pleasant. We were learning, laughing, eating and drinking throughout the whole tour and she personalized our tour to our interests. We all feel blessed to have Yu tour us throughout the city and we really appreciate the many recommendations that she emailed to us after the tour. We are already planning another visit to Kyoto and no doubt, we will ask for Yu as our guide…. She is absolutely fantastic. PS I believe that you can request for her personally through the booking website.

Such a wonderful person and so friendly and warm to us before, during and after our tour. She was the perfect guide for us and she was so understanding to any of our requests.
