Hello, My name is Susan Angus, a marketing/communications professional turned entrepreneur, originating from the DC metro area. My parents are from the beautiful island of Jamaica and immigrated to the states in the '80s prior to my birth. I was born in Montgomery County, MD, and raised between Washington, DC and Prince George's County, MD for all of my life. I attended and graduated from Howard University, an HBCU based here in Washington, DC. I'm an introverted extrovert which makes me adaptable to any environment. I've worked in the communications industry post graduate studies, attaining positions in marketing, radio, and television. Due to the pandemic, I've been laid off from my latest position, which prompted my embarkment into entrepreneurial endeavors, selling handcrafted jewelry, accessories, and home goods brand, owned and operated by yours truly. DC has been home to my family and I for all of my life. This city has played a huge hand in the woman I am today, raising me from youth, and shepherding me through adulthood, all while witnessing the transformation of what's to come for the city today and beyond! I would love to preserve the integrity of the city, by bringing awareness of all the gems, hidden and blatant, that makes this city what it is today. From its rich history & culture, to the experiences afforded to all who visit and/or make it home, DC is more than just the capital of the United States, it's a place to truly call home!
