I'm an American who has lived in Edinburgh for 20 years and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. From 2003 until 2019 I lived in Stockbridge which is one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in town. St Stephen Street alone is packed with great pubs and restaurants along with unique shops and galleries. The walk along The Water of Leith to the Museum of Modern Art is really beautiful. In 2019 I moved to Leith which is going to be transformed by the new tram extension. The Royal Yacht Britannia at Ocean Terminal is one of my favorite attractions and you can't beat The Ship on the Shore for great seafood. I've been exploring this city for two decades, and I've seen a lot of changes, but I find Edinburgh as lovely and interesting as the day I got here. I think the views from the rooftop garden at the Museum of Scotland are the best-kept secret in town.
