What you’ll do

You’ll go back in time over 1000 years (figuratively, we haven’t worked out how to do it literally yet) and discover the checkered history of Prague’s Jewish Quarter, known by its locals as Josefov.

You’ll have one of our local Prague hosts by your side as you explore the warren of old lanes and learn a little about the area’s painful past which will give you a greater appreciation for your surroundings - which are all a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as it happens.

Discover the spectacular architecture of the Old-New Synagogue (ask them about the name), or indeed any one of the five synagogues to which the area is home.

Stroll along the tree-lined Pařížská Street, make a stop at the Old Jewish Cemetery or Museum of Decorative Arts at its border, see the monument of Franz Kafka and hear the local legends of the mysterious Prague Golem.

You’ll inevitably find yourself in one of the many Kosher bakeries in the neighborhood (it happens to all of us), so we recommend trying chocolate babka or rugelach, a stuffed pastry made from cream cheese dough. Not your average history lesson.

    Moha exceeded our expectations in every way. He suggested two attractions in Kanazawa that we had no idea about - the Ninja Temple and the Seisonkaku Villa - and both turned out to be the most memorable of our tour. He is also an expert at managing time to ensure that we were able to enjoy all the historical sites we wanted to see during our 8 hour tour. He is also polite, charming, funny, friendly, and knowledgeable. He taught us so much about Kanazawa as well as Japanese culture in general which made us appreciate everything that we got to experience. He was also able to converse with us in 3 languages (English, Arabic, and French) while at the same time assisting us at Omicho market to translate what we wanted to say in Japanese so that we can order the right food. It was such a pleasant day and the 8 hours (and 14 km walk) flew by so fast because we were having so much fun. Moha also took us to the best spots for pictures and took some amazing photos of us so that we can cherish those memories.
