I am Tour Guide

Hello, I’m Dennis. I’ve always believed Amsterdam has so much more to offer than what the guidebooks tell you. But as a visitor, it’s all too easy to get caught up in the highlights and miss out on having an authentic Amsterdam experience. That’s why I’m passionate about showing you my city from a truly local perspective. Think of my tours as discovering the city with a friend; I’ll gladly share all my favorite routes and hangouts with you while letting you in on a bit of Dutch history and culture too. Whether you have a clear idea of what you’d like to see and do, or if you’re just looking to be surprised, spend your day with me discovering the city at your own pace as we visit all the places that spark your interest. My tours are always unscripted so conceived, measured, and built exclusively for you. We decide together where to go and what to do. That means we can cover any topic you like such as Architecture, Culture, Art, Dutch & Jewish History, Museums, Markets, Neighbourhoods, Food, and Drinks. All can be done by walking, by bike, by private boat or by car. I always suggest a few hours on a private boat because I think if you haven't seen Amsterdam from the water you really missed out on something. We'll buy a picnic and maybe a bottle of wine before we go on board. I specialize in day trips from Amsterdam so we can take the train or go by car to other Dutch cities like The Hague, Rotterdam, Leiden, Delft, and Haarlem. With a car, we can also visit the beautiful Dutch countryside and see windmills, and flowers and visit old little picturesque towns.
