I was born in Amsterdam in what was one of the old Jewish neighbourhoods during the war. As a child I was always fascinated by the stories of my parents, who were 3 years older than Anne Frank and lived only a 10 minutes walk away from where she lived. This is where I want to take you to share the stories of the people who lived there in those terrible years. I have studied history and especially the Second World War for all my life. I've always loved travelling around the world discovering places, meeting people, and listening to stories. As an experienced presenter and being passionate about telling the stories of normal people as they happened, I will bring you closer to the events of those years, and will challenge you to think more about how the past relates to our present and future. Amsterdam will never lose its identity; it's a noisy, crazy, liberal, walkable, and fun place where you feel young, no matter your age.
