Hi, I am a 22-year-old student at the University of Amsterdam, and this city has been my home for about three years. I have learned to appreciate the uniqueness of this city, and to unravel the historical reasons that have shaped Amsterdam's diverse culture, architecture, landscape, and infrastructure. Whenever my friends or family visit the city, I enjoy telling the stories behind these unique features that seem odd to the unfamiliar eye. It is my goal to show them that Amsterdam has much more to offer than tulips, windmills, or the Red Light District. That is why visiting Amsterdam can be an eye-opener for some guests, and I would love to guide them through this, besides obviously pointing out the beautiful features that this city has to offer.
