"Hey there! My name is Katherine Looney. I have been working as an elementary and junior high school English teacher in Kyoto for almost 5 years, so I'm all about discovering, learning, and having fun while doing it! There is so much to learn and enjoy about this historical, magical city, and I'm eager to share it with you. I love exploring Kyoto's host of temples and shrines, taking in its abundant nature (especially flowers!), and I'm always ready for something sweet, or a cup of coffee or tea. I'm a bit of a history and religion buff, especially when it comes to the rich history of Kyoto, so if you have any questions about the city or one of its many temples or shrines, feel free to ask me! I also try to keep an eye on any local events and festivals, so I'll be sure to let you know if there's anything ultra-special you can experience on your visit to this already wonderful city."
