Richard, private guide in Kobe

HELLO, I’M RICHARD

I live in -.
I work in -.

About me

Hi everyone, Rich here. I am originally from the UK, but Japan has been a home for me since 2002. I've spent 8 years in Tokyo and around a decade in Kobe and visited 95% of the country. I speak Japanese, French, and German fluently, and I love people, so forgive me for saying it, I can offer fantastic experiences. I enjoy high-end restaurants, hotels and bars, but I also have friends of all ages, so shopping and dining in student-friendly and family-friendly places is no problem at all. I want you to get to know Kobe, which is not as well known as Kyoto but benefits from the lack of crowds. It has mountains, a sea, friendly locals, great food, and a lot more waiting to be discovered. I can organise local meet ups and help you enjoy your stay like one of us. My personal passions include tea (especially afternoon tea and milk tea), long-distance cycling and mountain-biking, meeting people in social events, culture, languages, and translation and editing (my other day job). I am individualistic and full of energy. I enjoy meeting and assisting all types of people and often act as an unofficial concierge within my city.
