I was born in Kanazawa and have lived here for 23 years. Kanazawa still retains its traditional Japanese old streets, which offer a wonderful experience that is hard to find in modern times. Walking among the gardens, castles, teahouses, and other historical sites are a great way to experience the city's rich cultural heritage. In addition to its historical sites, Kanazawa is also famous in Japan for its delicious fish. Because the city faces the Sea of Japan, visitors can enjoy freshly caught seafood from the local port. Kanazawa is also known for its unique art and culture. The pottery and sweets decorated with gold leaf are particularly beautiful. In the evenings, I often visit the drinking district in the center of Kanazawa. There, I enjoy the delicious local sake, whisky, and wine, as well as the city's cuisine, which is both innovative and rooted in tradition. What I appreciate most about Kanazawa is its beautiful, quiet atmosphere, which retains a unique and majestic Japanese beauty.
