I’ve lived in Fukuoka for 30 years
I speak English, Japanese
I am a Teacher
I love to meet people from different countries and learn about their cultures. I enjoy travelling and have had amazing adventures through the eyes of locals in various countries. I'd like to give travellers coming to Fukuoka similar experiences. I know a little bit of the history and background of the famous sites and local art, so this will hopefully make the experience more memorable for you. I hope to satisfy your curiosity by answering some of your questions. I love the arts, especially crafts and folk art. I enjoy visiting museums and I love the beautiful nature that surrounds the city. I like shopping and I'm always looking for good deals- I'd be happy to suggest where to get a bargain. I love to sing karaoke- I usually sing Japanese songs. I think Fukuoka has the essence of a big city and a small rural town. It has been an important area in the history of Japan. It also is very close to beautiful nature, for example, Nokonoshima, and Itoshima.
