I’ve lived in Rome for 2 years
I speak English, French, Italian
I am a Ph.D.
I was born and raised on the Sicilian coast, attended university in Bologna and moved to Rome to pursue my PhD in Art History. My father is a Classical Archaeologist; growing up with him I learned how to observe the world around me with curiosity and an attention to detail, how to classify historical objects and, most importantly, how art awakens the hearts and minds of even the least artistically inclined among us. This early awareness of the power of art led me to become an art historian. I look forward to sharing my passion for my chosen city, Rome, with you and helping you appreciate its rich ancient, Baroque and modern history. Beyond art, I have a passion for good food, having lived in Italy's best culinary destinations (Sicily, Bologna, Rome) and I can't wait to share my favorite little known trattorie and pizza al taglio spots with you. Rome is Europe's greenest city and, if we have time, I look forward to sharing Rome's lesser known panoramic spots, parks, and gardens with you, given my PhD specialization in landscape paintings produced in Rome in the 18th and 19th centuries. I have experience teaching young children, university students and adults. Four legged friends are also welcome on my tours. Hope to see you in Rome.
