I’ve lived in Bologna for 4 years
I speak English, Italian
I am a English teacher
My first time in Bologna was with a study abroad program in 2014, and it wasn't love at first site. I quickly realized though that Bologna is such a special city because you have to discover its beauty. It has secrets, underground waters, this hidden nature that isn't immediately visible. My studies in material history, art history, and above all food history have helped me put into concrete terms some of the Bologna magic that I feel. For example, even considering the physical features - the porticoes, the walls encircling the city - we can see that Bologna is a city of shared public spaces, social spaces, in which we are all asked to actively participate in daily life. My goal is to help visitors participate, engage, and to truly experience this city from the inside.
