Hi, I'm Seku, a professional berlin tour guide. After specializing in tourism and business management and administration and having worked for different tour operators it didn't take me long to realize that the industry was missing opportunities by not attending to the changes we are living through. Originally from Madrid, I came to Germany in 2016 to learn a new language and to find a path. I have always been considered a very creative person and I had a thorn in my side to create multimedia content (something I did when it was still frowned upon to make videos on social networks), so when I arrived in Berlin I was soon fascinated by the amount of history, culture and diversity here. I made the final decision to become a guide in 2019 (I know, I always pick the best time, and it was) after weighing a lot about German bureaucracy and having to register as a freelancer. It was not an easy decision, but I realized that for the first time I really enjoyed my work. A few months later I started taking training courses like the one at the concentration camp memorial in Sachsenhausen and shortly after receiving my guide certificate, we went into quarantine.
