Christian

Hello, I’m Christian.

I live in Toyota City.
I work in all over the city.
I hang out in Sakae, Fujigaoka, Nagakute.

About me

Hello! Christian here. I have lived in Japan around the Nagoya area for several years and love exploring Japan. Secret hidden gems, must-see spots in Nagoya, affordable and delicious restaurants and bars, places to sit back and relax with a nice cup of coffee or an ice cold beer, I am into all of it! I have a wide range of interests including music, movies, fitness, Japanese castles, fashion, bad Japanese puns, and most importantly meeting and laughing with new people. Recently, I have picked up skateboarding and I love scooting around on my penny board from place to place. I have an interesting taste in music ranging from Japanese 80s singers to modern hip-hop, rock, jazz, and reggae. I enjoy both going to concerts and rocking out and relaxing to some jazz in a quiet cafe. However, I most commonly scratch my music itch by belting my heart out in karaoke with friends. I have loved movies from a young age, and I am particularly into sci-fi and fantasy stuff. While they are quite opposite ends of the spectrum, I enjoy the works of Quentin Tarantino and Hayao Miyazaki just to name a few. When I have free time in the city, I enjoy checking out spots hidden behind small alleys or in basements. Yaki-tori, karage, and ramen shops are my go to places. I studied in Japan for a year in college and love speaking the language with new people, as I believe this is the best way to improve as well as share new ideas and cultures. I would like nothing more than to share with you all the spots that I am glad I discovered during my time here in Nagoya.
