About me

I'm totally in love with Madrid, and thats not an easy quote coming from a guy who grew up within 5 countries and 8 cities in 2 continents. I can go party all night or go to a jazz concert and spend all night there. I can write for hours or listen to an audiobook for hours, walking in the streets, watching everyone walk around. Meeting people is always exiting for me, probably my favorite thing to do is to engage in conversations with people who ad up to my worldview.

Hello! I am Joanna. I am a cultural project manager and art historian. I have been living in Madrid for over 4 years. This is a city I fell in love at first sight and this is why I decided to stay here. When I visited Madrid for the first time, years ago, with a local professional guide, I felt like I needed to live the story he tells more profoundly and more intensely, and actually I did. I had this unique opportunity to immerse in it totally, and now I wish to offer the visitors those shortcuts to get to know the city deeper, faster, more profoundly, just better. I hope you enjoy Madrid with me. If you don´t mind, I am always ready to go to any good flamenco show with a glass of good wine. I can guide you through a jungle of shopping centers and don´t get tired, so you may leave your mate and children for a while and lose yourself in the shops. Last but, in my case, not least I can accompany you in Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofía so you don´t get stressed and don´t miss any important work of art, not necessarily spending all day in one museum. I love going out to the theatres, cinemas, restaurants and just I love "dolce vita" in Madrid. Although it was invented somewhere else, I am sure that in the end of the day you would tell that Madrid is a best place to enjoy "dolce vita" here, and most probably you will fall in love with this city, too...

After living for four years in Madrid I like to think about it as my home. Not only because I have met many people while living here, but because I had been able to re-meet myself. I had the opportunity to travel solo over the last four years and that has shown me that I love to meet people, no matter what, I just love to do it. To be in unexpected situations in anytime I can has become one of my major hobbies. Knowledge is what drives me since I turned 16, and I can't imagine a better way to learn than just being in new situations and places every time I can. That's why I have studied Madrid's history over these years, and actively I have wondered all over it. I am an active person, with good interpersonal skills, and I like to share what I know. I feel that this city represent what I am and that is why I'm looking for opportunities to stay here. I love Madrid.
